This sculpture draws from classical South Indian temple iconography, where celestial cows flanked sanctum entrances, blessing devotees with prosperity. The calf represents devotion and continuity of blessings.

The gold-plated panels are intricately chased with lotus scrolls and deity vignettes, including four blessed Lakshmi avatars on the saddle. Polished silver hide contrasts with oxidized relief to highlight details.
